A repository of high resolution two-dimensional images of brain tissue.
The service makes it possible to upload, release, browse and download images of brain tissue of sizes up to 1 GB. The images can be uploaded one by one or as a batch consisting of multiple files. It is possible to grant others privileges to access the images. Browsing the images online is efficient since only the area of interest (in proper resolution) is being downloaded. It is also possible to download the whole image (e.g. for further processing).
The service is based on open technologies (Linux, Python, PostgreSQL). As the service software is openly available it is possible to set up local servers to speed up the image transmission.
